How to Use Instagram's New Feature: Questions in Instagram Stories

How to Use Instagram’s New Feature: Questions in Instagram Stories – Instagram tips - Instagram for Business – How to Use Instagram – Social Media - sweatywisdom.com

On July 10, Instagram released a new feature called Questions. Questions is amongst the many, many new features that they've been rolling out lately..  you might remember IGTV, the “you're all caught up” feature, or even video chat. Out of all those, this is hands down my fave. I'm already using and having a ton of fun with it. Let's walk through exactly how you can use and love it too.

  1. Get started by simply opening Instagram.

  2. Click on the stories link in the upper left corner ( looks like a camera).

  3. Either take a pic or fill with a background color.

    1. To fill with color, hit the draw tool that looks like a pencil in the upper right-hand corner.

    2. Select your color from the color menu at the bottom.

    3. Hold down your finger in the middle of the screen until it fills.

  4. Hit the stickers button, which is in the top right.

  5. Select questions.

  6. A screen will pop up, where you can type whatever question you would like.

  7. Hit the done button.

  8. To send this to your story, hit the plus button above “Your Story”.

How to check responses

To check responses, just head to your notifications by clicking the heart at the bottom of the screen.

You can also check them by revisiting your story and scrolling up. When you do so, you’ll see the answers in small boxes and also have the option to share them to your story.

Kind of cool, right? This is a really good way to let the people who are interacting with you know that you see them and that you care about them by responding to them publicly.

What if I don't have this feature yet?

Like most new features, it takes a bit for every account to see them. If you're feeling super antsy, you can always try updating your app and restarting your phone.

Luckily, there's a super easy way to turn these notifications OFF for good. Ready?

If you ever want to switch them back on, follow the same process (except switch to ON rather than OFF). So simple, right? Your Instagram experience is about to get a whole lot less annoying.
